MENA Newswire: Ariston Middle East is pleased to contribute to Saudi Arabia’s health sector transformation program by supporting hospitals across the country. Among several projects in the Kingdom, the Al-Magrabi Specialised Hospital in Dammam, King Abdullah Hospital in Bisha, and Dr. Suliman Al-Habib and King Fahad Hospital in Jeddah are ongoing developments that have contracted Ariston Middle East to provide hot water. All the establishments play a significant role in the transformation of the health sector as visualized in Saudi Vision 2030.

Analyzing the progress of the healthcare sector since Saudi Vision 2030 launch, a January 2022 Arab News* report highlighted the importance of hospitals in the program. It projected a demand for 20,000 additional hospital beds by 2035. ‘The Health Sector Transformation Program’ has already made a substantial difference to the quality of life in the country. As documented in Vision 2030 updates, people live happier and healthier lives. Life expectancy has increased, and the 2022 World Happiness Report confirms Saudi Arabia as the third happiest country in the Arab World.

Alberto Torner, Head of Ariston Group in the Middle East, Turkey and Caucasus said, “We are pleased to be associated with the healthcare sector development in Saudi Arabia. Trusted and welcomed by millions of families around the world, Ariston prides itself on being a well-established brand with devoted customers. This is possible thanks to our ability to make countless families happy and keep them satisfied with high-quality products and systems – many receiving leading consumer-voted awards – alongside expert advice and service always on hand for assistance.”

The hospitals equipped with Ariston water heaters fulfill the demand for hot water and contribute to the success story of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Al-Magrabi Specialized hospital has been in Dammam for 15 years specialising in eye care. A steady increase in patients has led to the launch of a newly constructed fully independent medical building of five floors with a total area of 12,300m2. The King Abdullah Hospital in Bisha practices Nuclear Medicine to diagnose different acute diseases. Ariston Middle East has installed ES Extra water heaters in both hospitals to provide for the hospital’s hot water requirement. The flexibility in configuration, quick recovery time, and double thermostat of the installed ES Extra systems reduce energy consumption and improve hot water system efficiency.

As part of a large medical group, the Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Hospital is located in Jeddah. The group is building the North Jeddah Hospital on an area of 24,128 m2 with an estimated total built-up area of 233,970 m2. It will be an integrated hospital providing healthcare through 270 clinics and 350 beds expected to start operations in 2024. Ariston Middle East has equipped the facility with 183 electrical water heaters from its PRO1 and Andris range. These heaters are renowned for their outstanding levels of safety, durability, comfort, performance and design.

“We have a strong presence on the ground in the Kingdom and are happy to contribute to healthcare infrastructure development. Such significant projects require secure suppliers, and we are pleased to be selected to serve them. ” Says Mohamed Hussien, Country Manager, KSA. “Hospitals require a reliable and efficient supply of hot water for the sterilisation of medical equipment, instruments, and linen. Hot water is also needed for cleaning and disinfecting floors, walls and surfaces as well as for laundry and the kitchen. In addition, hot water is required for patient care, such as bathing, wound cleaning, and other medical procedures. Due to the high demand for hot water, hospitals need uninterrupted supply.”

“Saudi Vision 2030 calls for private enterprise to participate in government initiatives. We at Ariston Middle East are happy to be a part of the strategic narrative that fulfils the aspirations of the government and citizens of the country.” Torner added
